Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the WiFi Audit mobile application (“App”).
1. Introduction
WiFi Audit (“App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile utility that helps you inspect Wi‑Fi networks, run basic security checks, measure connection speed, analyze signal quality, manage Wi‑Fi QR codes, and related network tools.
By downloading, installing, or using WiFi Audit, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Who we are
WiFi Audit is published for distribution on mobile app stores. For privacy or support questions, contact us at appsoletech@gmail.com.
3. Information we process
WiFi Audit is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a user profile system.
Depending on the features you use, the App may process:
- Device and network information available through the operating system, such as connected Wi‑Fi network name (SSID), signal strength, connection status, IP-related details shown in the App, and basic device network state.
- Information needed for security and diagnostic checks (for example encryption type indicators, DNS/SSL-related check results, and local scan outcomes).
- Speed-test measurements (download, upload, latency) generated when you run a speed test.
- QR code content you choose to scan or generate for Wi‑Fi sharing.
- App preferences stored locally on your device (such as language or theme settings).
- Support communications if you email us (your email address and the content of your message).
4. Permissions
To provide its features, the App may request certain device permissions:
- Location (approximate/precise): On Android and some platforms, location permission is required by the operating system to read Wi‑Fi network details and scan nearby networks. We use this access only to show network information and run in-app checks. We do not use location to track you for advertising.
- Camera: Used to scan Wi‑Fi QR codes when you choose that feature.
- Photos / storage (where applicable): Used if you save or pick images related to QR features.
- Network access: Required for internet connectivity checks and speed testing.
You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the related permission.
5. How we use information
We use information solely to:
- Provide and operate App features you request (security checks, speed tests, analyzer tools, QR tools, and related utilities).
- Display results locally on your device.
- Respond to support or privacy requests you send to us.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Wi‑Fi or location data to build advertising profiles.
6. Local processing and data sharing
Most diagnostic and Wi‑Fi-related processing happens locally on your device. Results are shown in the App and are not uploaded to us unless you choose to share them (for example by contacting support).
When you run a speed test, the App may send technical network requests to speed-test endpoints in order to measure performance. Those requests are used for measurement purposes and are not intended to collect your identity.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
7. Data retention
Information used for in-app checks generally remains on your device and can be cleared when you uninstall the App or clear app data.
If you contact us by email, we retain your correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request and for legitimate business or legal record-keeping.
8. Third-party services
The App may rely on operating-system services and standard network infrastructure to function. If third-party analytics, crash reporting, ads, or payment services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe them before or when they are enabled.
9. Children’s privacy
WiFi Audit is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at appsoletech@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a local-first mobile utility. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for how you use public or untrusted Wi‑Fi networks.
11. International users
If you use the App from outside the country where we operate support, your information (such as support emails) may be processed in the country where our support inbox is accessed. By using the App or contacting us, you understand that such processing may occur subject to applicable law.
12. Your choices and rights
You may:
- Control permissions in your device settings.
- Stop using or uninstall the App at any time.
- Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have sent us by email, subject to applicable law.
Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights. To exercise them, email us at appsoletech@gmail.com.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected in the App or store listing where practical. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
